The USS Wasp has arrived in Mobile, Ala., the U.S. Navy said Wednesday.
The guided-missile destroyer arrived at Mobile Naval Shipyard in the morning and will be joined by the USS Stetson, which is currently in the Gulf of Mexico.
The USS Wash is the third warship to arrive in Mobile since April.
In addition to the USS Washa, USS WASH and USS Washing have been based at Mobile since 2009.
The USS Wash and USS Stetons are currently in Mobile to join the rest of the US Navy in the ongoing Gulf of Aden mission.
The Stetsons are on a scheduled deployment for four months.
Navy will hold a news conference at 10 a.m.
EDT (1600 GMT) Wednesday morning to formally announce the USS Wash’s deployment to the Gulf.
